NP:You have an incredibly talented family. You must be very proud. As a mother, how did you foster creativity within your children?

JS:Well I tried to raise my kids…I didn’t raise then to be children, I raised them to be adults. That a concept that might be lost on a lot of people. I also tried to make them understand that it’s OK to make mistakes, so don’t be afraid to have a go at doing something different. And in that vein of ‘I’m interested in this, let’s try it, let’s see what happens’ my kids have always been the first ones on the line ready to have a go at something different. And it’s OK to fail, because that’s how you learn, when you fail.

NP:    Usted tiene una familia muy talentosa. Debes   estar muy orgullosa. Como madre, ¿cómo fomentar la creatividad en los niños?

JS:    Bueno he intentado criar a mis hijos ... Yo no los crió después de ser niños, les enseño a ser adultos. Que es un concepto que podría perderse en un montón de gente. También traté de hacerles entender que está bien cometer errores, y así no tengan miedo de tener que ir y hacer algo diferente. Y en ese sentido de "yo estoy interesado en esto, vamos a intentarlo, vamos a ver qué pasa" mis hijos siempre han sido los primeros en la línea listos para tener que ir y hacer algo diferente. Y está bien equivocarse , porque así es como se aprende, cuando fallas.

Ahora entiendo de donde viene esta frase 

¨It's okay,' you know? It's okay to be you. It's okay to just not be okay. It's okay to not be okay.¨

¨Esta bien, ya sabes? Esta bien ser tu mismo, esta bien solo no estar bien, Esta bien no tener que estar bien¨

De tal palo .... tal astilla!
